This website has been produced by NHS Knowsley, Liverpool Primary Care Trust, NHS Sefton and NHS Wirral in response to a large scale consultation with families from your area about infant feeding.

Families said they wanted a more balanced view of breastfeeding and bottle-feeding from the beginning to help them make an informed choice about how to feed their baby, including an honest account of what breastfeeding is really like.

Those that chose to breastfeed wanted to know:

  • Where and how to feed out and about
  • What breastfeeding support is available
  • What family can do to help, besides feed the baby
  • The latest facts about breastfeeding

Throughout the site you will find answers to all these questions, plus much more information, providing you with a complete guide to feeding your baby.
